This site is operated by Rohit Chokhani, an individual (sole proprietor) based in India, trading online as MERIDIAN Atlas (desijapan.com) ("we", "us"). When you use this site or buy a plan, you are contracting with Rohit Chokhani. You can reach us at hello@desijapan.com.

By accessing or continuing to use the site, or by purchasing a paid itinerary plan, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the site. You confirm you are of legal age to enter into this agreement, and where you use the site on behalf of an organisation, that you have authority to bind it.

The site publishes editorial travel research about Japan — a regional atlas, a Tokyo guide, a route planner, coffee and shopping directories, and guides written for Indian travellers. The paid Itinerary Studio produces a personalised, AI-assisted written itinerary based on the brief and any document you upload, delivered as an on-screen plan and a downloadable PDF.

Everything we publish or generate is planning guidance, not a booking, reservation, guarantee of availability, or professional visa, legal, financial, medical or tax advice. Fares, opening hours, prices and access conditions change; verify anything time-critical with the operator or authority before you travel.

Paid plans are produced with the help of automated language models working over our own research. Output may contain errors or outdated details, and two briefs can produce different plans. You are responsible for reviewing the plan, checking it against official and operator sources, and making your own travel decisions. Do not rely on generated content for visa eligibility, insurance, medical or safety decisions.

You must have the right to submit whatever you upload or paste, and you must not submit other people's personal data beyond what is needed to plan the trip. You grant us a limited licence to host and process your brief and uploads solely to produce and deliver your plan and to provide support.

• No unlawful use, fraud, spam or misrepresentation.
• No infringement of intellectual property or other rights.
• No interference with the service: malware, probing, penetration attempts, automated scraping, or circumventing rate limits or usage caps.
• No reverse engineering, resale or redistribution of our content or generated plans as your own product.
• No attempt to manipulate the assistant into producing illegal, harmful or infringing content.

The site, its research, text, layout, maps, code and branding remain our property. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the site and to use your purchased plan for your own personal travel planning.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features, data and pricing may change, and parts of the site may be unavailable for maintenance or because a third-party provider is down.

Paid plans are one-time purchases at the price shown at checkout, in the currency shown at checkout. Payment, billing, invoicing, taxes, cancellation and refund mechanics are handled by our reseller under the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms. Our own refund window is set out in our Refund Policy (30 days).

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Some outbound booking links are affiliate links; if you book through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Those bookings are contracts between you and the operator or platform, not with us, and are governed by their terms. Recommendations are editorial and are never paid placements.

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment or chargeback abuse, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the site at any time. On termination, your right to use the site ends; plans already delivered remain yours.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special losses, including lost profits, lost bookings, missed connections, or loss of data or goodwill. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where it cannot be excluded by law.

You will indemnify us against claims arising from your unlawful use of the site, the content you submit, or your breach of these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction, without affecting mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence. We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above will change and continued use means acceptance. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it in connection with a merger or transfer of the business. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
